I'm Still Alive!

Anderson and his friend Mia had a blast at our house for 2 days while Mia's mommy and daddy were at work! They went to the park, went swimming in the backyard, played in the Nemo sprinkler, rode in the red wagon, played with bubbles...and pretty much destroyed the house! I thought taking care of a newborn and a 2 yr. old was hard...try 2 toddlers and a newborn! What was I thinking?!!?

You're Gonna Miss This

While we are on the topic of songs, I may as well go ahead and share one more. This one is the story of my life at the moment. Trace Adkins says it better than I ever could, it is called 'You're Gonna Miss This' and the chorus goes like this:

You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days
Hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
Take a good look around
You may not know it now
You're gonna miss this

I probably sing this over and over a hundred times a day as I change diapers, pick up toys, make bottles, feed the boys, give baths, take Anderson back and forth to the potty and timeout, and put him down for a nap 20 times in a row...all the while sleep deprived, with not one moment to myself, knowing that crazy as it sounds...one day I will probably miss all this!

The Remedy

This will most likely not come as any surprise to you...but I LOVE music...all kinds of music...which is probably why God blessed me with a husband who is a music minister. Listening to music inspires me in many ways and draws me closer to God. In fact, I always write my poems while listening to music...it gets the creative juices flowing!

That being said, I would like to share a song of inspiration with you. At this point in time, and when I say that I mean it could change tomorrow, it is my favorite song. It is sung by David Crowder, one of my all time favorite artists, and is called 'The Remedy'. The chorus is referring to Jesus and it goes like this:

He is the one
Who has saved us
He is the one
Who embraced us
He is the one who has come
And is coming again
He's the remedy

Wow, don't you just love that name for Jesus? The Remedy. It is so true...He is the remedy, the solution, for all of life's problems. I mean He conquered the grave for crying out loud, bridging the gap between God and man for all who believe! If He can do that, He can do anything! When we are sick, we go to the doctor...or at least we women do...can't say the same for the men in our lives! If we trust earthly doctors to solve our medical problems...why would we not seek the Great Physician for all of our needs? The Bible says that 'we will seek Him and find Him, when we seek Him with all our heart.'

So that is my prayer for you...that you would seek Him, The Remedy, with all of your heart...He will change your life! And by the way, I highly recommend the David Crowder Band cd, 'Remedy.' All of the songs are good. It is well worth the money!

Giving In...

After much coaxing from my sister Jessica, we have given in to the current blogging trend. Actually, Aaron is way ahead of me in the game and has been blogging on his own site for awhile now. So I guess it is me who is FINALLY giving in! I think it will be a good thing for me to be able to post family updates and pictures on this site instead of having to email them. That way you can keep up with us without having your inbox bombarded. You can also choose whether or not to read my updates. So here it goes...

We took our first pictures as a family of 4 last weekend. EJ was 1o weeks old at the time...it is CRAZY how time flies...he is now almost 12 weeks old! Our friend Amy took the pictures for us. She has a new photography business of her own. You can go to www.twelvestonesphotography.com to check it out. She has already taken several photo shoots of our family this year and has done a wonderful job! I have posted a few of the pictures for you to see...they turned out great! Hope you enjoy them!

I guess that is all for now. I will have to ease into this blogging thing. So in closing, I hope you have had a wonderful summer and that things go well for you this fall. I still cannot believe the summer is almost over! Please keep us updated on your family happenings and we will do the same!
